5/26 - sunday funday

here's my tip for the day. it's kinda hard trying to remember when i have to take or have taken my medications. we kept track of it on the wipe board i used the first couple days for talking. it made it super easy. i have to stagger the vicodin with the ibuprofen. so keeping track of the times got a little hard. mom kept track and administered all the meds. but when i was feeling like i need some pain meds i could just check the board. i haven't been paying attention to the clock during this week. really taking advantage of my time off. :)

the other great tool that i have been using is this little syringe. i like it better than the ones they had me use in the hospital. my mom had it from some dental work she had done a while back. i would suggest trying to get one from your dentist to use after your surgery. it works great. i can squirt the meds all the way in the back of my mouth with ease. so i don't have to really taste it.

oh, and snag a couple of those little containers from the hospital too. it's nice to have some extra ones. especially because they are not all marked with the same measurements.

we started the puzzle yesterday. got a slow start. but it has become a family affair. everyone got in on the action. i love doing puzzles. helps pass the time. i couldn't work on it the first few days. my nose bleeds hindered looking down alot. but now that those have cleared up and i am a puzzle fiend. i do have to admit that doing a candy themed puzzle was kinda hard. i love candy. :)

we went for a visit to my grandparents house. my aunt and uncle are in town for the long weekend. while there they were eating pizza. it smelled so good. it made me crave pizza. but luckily they were pizzas with all sorts of stuff i don't like. so it wasn't totally gruelling to watch them eat it. i kind of want to try blending a piece of pizza. not sure what liquid i would have to add to help liquefy it... chicken or vegetable broth??

when we got home mom made us some dessert. i really wanted some mint chocolate chip ice cream. that can't really happen so we tried using those little Andes Mints. she melted them in the microwave and then added them to vanilla ice cream in the blender. DANG IT!! the candy hardened back to be chunky. haha minor detail. if you put something that is melted into something really cold... it might go back to the hard state. can't really drink it then.
